Manufactured and Distributed by WEA Records B.V. - Hilversum/Holland • Licensee of WEA International Inc. • A Warner Communications Company - Made in the NetherlandsThe Sleeve Note explains how NVPI (Dutch department of IFPI) is "extremely joyed" to find a substantial amount of Dutch record companies willing to issue a series of LP's and Music Cassettes honoring Thomas Alva Edison for his invention of the Phonograph.
The "project" was supposedly aiming to be an inventory of the result of Edison's achievement, although the choice of repertoire would of course be "subjective" and Edison's targeted primary purpose for the Phonograph was "speech education and writing letters unaided by a stenographer" and not reproduction of musical recordings.
