This CD includes the Olympic Welcome Yoik for the Wintergames in Lillehammer 1994. Wintergames is a new release from the pioneers in Saami music. Valkeapää have worked together with the musicians Paakkunainen and Kotilainen for 20 years. Behind they have several music productions, some have become classics, which have been musical fore runners while creating a new style. Johan Anders Baer is a young yoiker from Karasjohka whom we will hear more from in the future.The musicians took part in the Culture Program for the Lillehammer Olympic Wintergames and gave several concerts in Atlanta, Tokio, Barcelona, Munich, Oslo and Lillehammer.
