About the Ragas:
Side : 1 Raga Bairagi is a pentatonic melody using mainly the flat notes (Komal Swaras). It is a morning raga in which Singh Bandhu sing for you two invocatory pieces set to Jhumra Tala (time cycle of fourteen beats) and Teental (time cycle of sixteen beats).
Side : 2 Raga Maru Bihag is an evening melody of great charm and poignancy. Singh Bandhu capture its tantalising beauty and pathos by singing a slow and fast khayal set to Jhumra and Teental respectively.
