Three years have passed since Chemical Sweet Kid’s second album, “Broken Wings”, was released. It took some time but this allowed Julien Kidam, singer and composer, to come up with the most accomplished album of the band.With their third album “The Speed Of Time”, Chemical Sweet Kid brings us a bit further into their industrial electro rock sound. Loud guitars riffs are added to their typical dirty synths and Julien’s voice evolves between spoken words, whispering, singing and screaming, which gives a new emotional dimension to the music.
We already had a preview of what we could expect with the release of the single “Kiss My Hate” a few months ago, coming with a first videoclip. Not to mention that we were able to dive again into Chemical Sweet Kid’s tortured universe thanks to a second videoclip for the song “Once Again” announcing the release of the album. But not all songs are that aggressive. “The Speed Of Time” is a roller coaster taking us from harsh industrial electro to down tempo through an explosive electro metal.
Chemical Sweet Kid has now definitely find its own sound. And it sounds as hell !
