"The 'Forever' EP is a project that combines samples of soul/jazz/funk/r&b tracks of another musical era with modern hip-hop percussion styles and original production. The tracks that I sampled for this project range in original release date from the late 60's to the mid 80's. For me, many of them evoke nostalgia for a time when popular music was very different in style and message than it is today. The 'Forever' EP is dedicated to my father, ‘Disco’ Phil, who passed away 10 years ago this December. Miss you always, Dad."- RETROFLEX
