All recordings were collected in Hawai'i on the island of O'ahu.All recordings were gathered utilizing a portable DAT recorder and a variety of microphones including: geophones, contact microphones, OKM binaural omni-directional condenser microphones, and an Audio Technica AT822 stereo microphone.
All recordings are presented as they were observed during the intitial documentation. No editing or processing has been applied.
To accompany this release, and/OAR is offering a printable PDF map of O'ahu pinpointing where each recording was made. If printed out, the map can be folded and placed inside the gatefold insert that is a part of the release which comes packaged in a DVD case.
