Notes
Te Awa Kairangi was commisioned for Murray Hewitt's video work "The Rising Gale" - this soundscape featured as one of several live screenings, part of the Common Ground: Hutt Public Art Festival 2017.Field recordings were taken directly from the river at multiple locations. These sounds were processed and transformed to create sonic layers for the piece as well as leaving some of the recordings in their natural state providing a sonic snapshot of the river.
