A1: Of improbable Austrian origin, this song has become a favorite with Miss Makeba's night club audiences at Manhattan's Blue Angel, and points west.
A2: The Belafonte treatment of one of the loveliest folk melodies from the British Isles. This is his first recording.
B1: The click sounds are phonetically part of Miss Makeba's native Xosa language. Both melody and clicks are extremely infectious.
B2: A well-known Israeli song. Freely translated, the text says:"Isn't it good that brothers should dwell together".

About Miriam Makeba:
"Time" Magazine calls her "The most exciting new singing talent to appear in many years." She came to America from Johannesburg via London where Belafonte first heard her sing. The star of the film "Come Back, Africa," she became an overnight sensation from her first U.S. TV appearance.
